Analyst, Performance Attribution - Parametric

Prepare quarterly, monthly, and ad hoc performance attribution analysis for institutional andor wealth management clients, and marketing materials. Coordinate commentary with portfolio managers. Perform detailed peer review of deliverables. Manage the timely and accurate delivery of all requests. Investigate portfolio specific inquiries. Contribute to integration efforts to consolidate and harmonize attribution reporting across various Parametric and MSIM business lines. Play an active role in ensuring and improving data integrity/quality. Develop a specialized knowledge of all relevant Parametric products and strategies. Uphold department reputation through professionalism, accuracy, responsiveness, and commitment to client service. Develop a full working knowledge of the firm's structure, key personnel and organizational policies and procedures, in addition to a functional knowledge of a professional services environment. Assume other responsibilities as required. 4-year degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a quantitative field. 2-4 years of industry experience. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of both traditional asset management and alternatives investments (derivatives, fixed income, cash equities, mutual funds, hedge funds, private equity). Understanding of basic accounting principles - ability to interpret performance impact of various transactions and corporate actions. Asset management performance calculation knowledge. Understanding of attribution theory and practice. Possess excellent communication and organizational skills and be able to handle a heavy, deadline-oriented workload. Advanced knowledge of Excel, including designing, creating, and maintaining complex spreadsheets, power queries, reports, and charts. High attention to detail and strong sense of urgency. Must possess a high level of initiative. Familiarity with FactSet, Bloomberg, Barra, and other analysis tools is a plus. Python, SQL, data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) desired. Ability to think strategically and build on system capabilities. Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Ability to excel independently and in ambiguous situations. Ability to maintain productivity and strong work ethic under minimal supervision. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
