This role (AI/ML Model Developer) will reside within Firm Risk Management's Risk Analytics Department, specifically the Risk Artificial Intelligence Applications team. A philosophy that balances personal lifestyles, perspectives and needs is an important part of our culture.What will you be doing? • Design and develop AI applications that enhance the efficiency of the Firm's Risk Management processes, and help risk managers gain new insights • Contribute hands-on to software development using Python and AI/ML models, with a focus on natural language processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLMs) such as GPT-4 • Collaborate and interact with risk managers, model reviewers, and other internal and external stakeholders • Collaborate globally with team members, stakeholders within technology teams in Risk & Front Office and Quant-developer teams within Front Office Strats • Contribute directly as a hands-on developer while mentoring junior team membersWhat we're looking for: • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Mathematical Finance, Physics, Statistics, Engineering, or equivalent • 5+ years of relevant work experience in AI/ML, software engineering, or related fields • Strong knowledge of at least one mainstream programming language (proven track record of Python programming) • Understanding of financial concepts and products • Interest in AI/ML concepts • Familiarity with modern development best practices, such as Unit Testing and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment Skills that will help you in the role: • Strategic mindset, good business sense and judgment, creative problem-solving skills • The ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders (specialist and non-technical stakeholders), both written and verbally • An interest in working in a fast-paced environment, often balancing multiple high priority deliverables • People management experience, including mentoring junior developers (preferred) • Familiarity with financial models (preferred)Where will you be working?
