Your team
Moody's Investors Service (MIS) is among the world's most respected and widely utilized sources for credit ratings and research. Our opinions and analysis on a broad range of credit obligors and obligations are valued around the world for their insight and rigor.
The Data & Analytics team supports Banking, Corporate Finance, and Infrastructure Lines of Business. The teams are in Vilnius, London, Bangalore, New York, Costa Rica, Hong Kong, and Tokyo in order to support Analysts based across the world. Financial Data Analysts contribute towards the financial analysis part of the rating process which has a significant impact on any given rating.
Your role
We are looking for current students to join the Data & Analytics team for a 4 to 6 month part time working student placement within the Corporate Finance team. In addition to the impactful work aligned to your role, you will also participate in trainings, executive speaker events and networking sessions with interns across the organization.
As a Financial Data Analyst Intern, you will:
- Be part of a team that performs financial statement analysis, adjusts reported data per relevant methodology requirements, and analyses ratios
- Learn and understand the application of accounting concepts and will get acquainted with industry specific methodologies
- Be able to use your accounting and finance knowledge, and judgement in action to perform financial statement analysis, adjust reported data per relevant methodology requirements, and analyze ratios
- Actively contribute to special projects and ad-hoc initiatives
Qualifications
- Degree specializations in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Management or equivalent
- Curiosity about credit and/or financial analysis
- Knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Shown verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and dedication to producing high quality, accurate work
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team
- Proficient in English and any other European (French, German, Italian, Spanish etc) or Nordic languages, would be an advantage
Monthly base salary gross: €1,500.
