Role:
Our Global Controllership team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager with a strong understanding of US GAAP, and emphasis on compensation / non-compensation accounting, software capitalization and financial statements analytics. The ideal candidate will focus on the Company's continuous improvement and modernization initiatives, to ensure best in class accounting processes. The role requires an individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills eager to join a collaborative finance environment and partner with stakeholders and functional teams across the organization.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Oversee the monthly close process for key areas within the general accounting group as it relates to the review of journal entries, reconciliations and financial statements review and analytics
Manage the accounting process for the internal-use software capitalization ensuring the accurate tracking of internal and external costs and compliance with all related SOX controls
Effectively collaborate with Moody's internal and external auditors to ensure successful compliance with all internal controls, SOX requirements and quarterly/annual review and testing of financial statement transactions.
Interacts heavily with FP&A and business stakeholders to deliver timely and accurate explanations of movement in financial statement account balances.
Heavy focus on operational efficiencies and automation of business processes
Participate in strategic finance projects and implementation of accounting tools and applications to streamline and automate accounting processes
Provide strong oversight of certain offshore month-end close activities
Prepare and review ad hoc account analyses for internal and external stakeholders

Proactive approach in adapting to a dynamic, fast paced environment, while demonstrating a high level of ownership over designated responsibilities
Keeping abreast of technical accounting updates and technological advancements and innovations
Effectively handle multiple deliverables simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to details
Ability to lead and coordinate work across teams within the organization
Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams across the organization

Qualifications:
BA/BS accounting
6+ years of accounting experience
CPA license is a must
Knowledge of ASC 350-40 is a plus
* Experience with Blackline, Power BI and Alteryx is a plus

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is [[$110,900]] to [[$156,150]], depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
