Team Overview

You will be part of the Global Insurance Strategy team which defines and promotes the Moody's insurance proposition and facilitates the development of consistent approaches across the organization. The team works in a highly multidisciplinary environment and drives our Go To Market strategy with sales, product management, marketing and other functions, to deliver value to our clients.

Overview of role/responsibilities for the intern

  • Support key aspects of our insurance product offerings including supporting early stage of the product innovation lifecycle, developing value proposition and market positioning.
  • Support the development ideas and business plans for our insurance strategy, including tracking current and emerging 'deep currents' to identify potential new product opportunities or modifications to existing products.
  • Source and analyze market feedback on products, services and other solutions. Conduct guided and unguided research in relevant areas.
  • Develop estimates of total available market sizes as part of the development of the business case to support go/no-go decisions.
  • Assist in the production of ad-hoc analyses, reports, presentations, and provide support on special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in either Earth Science, Geography, Geophysics or Economics (must currently be enrolled in college).
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation ability.
  • Ability to communicate analysis results and insights effectively.
  • Strong quantitative and analytic skills (including intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access and relational database queries).
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Interest in the re/insurance business domain.
  • This is a ten-week internship (June 17 to August 23)
  • Must reside in the UK, have a legal work authorization and are currently enrolled in college
