The Role

The Intern will provide assistance to the analysis team in operational matters related to the credit analysis process, as well as in the preparation of research reports and in other projects that Moody's Local develops.

The Intern will work closely with Associate Analysts. This provides an opportunity for the candidate to make a contribution towards the success of the process, by providing support to the Associate Analyst that contributes to better overall credit analysis outcomes.

The Intern role will focus on multiple sectors and will support analysts that cover different portfolios and methodologies.

The Credit Analysis team covers issuers in Perú, Panama and Bolivia.

  • Prepare materials for briefings and research reports.
  • Prepare financial information of the issuers rated by Moody's Local.
  • Produce analytical summaries of quantitative information for analysts.
  • Support the analytical team in different projects.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Advanced active undergraduate student (Bachelor's degree) in disciplines related to Finance or Business such as but not limited to Economics, Finance, Accounting or any other similar
  • Accountancy qualification desirable. Other relevant qualifications will be considered
  • Coursework focused on Corporate Finance and/or Risk and Credit Assessment/Analysis, desirable
  • Strong organizational, communication and written skills
  • Financial/statistical research capabilities
  • Strong academic background with good grasp of accounting and financial modeling knowledge
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel is required. Macros, PowerPoint is desirable
  • Advanced level of English is required

Preferably have a target graduation date in late 2024 or 2025
