Your role

  • Participate in cross-functional projects related to the end-to-end ratings process, business transformation initiatives or evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of data collection tools and processes to streamline operations and improve the efficiency of production activities.
  • Proactively contribute developing data-related tools, dashboards, and processes; including tasks such as: design, creation, continuous improvement, documentation, and QA.
  • Support implementation of Data Governance standard processes and collaborate in Data Management initiatives involving:
  • Data architecture: Build and maintain documentation on the Moody's Local data architecture.
  • Data Security: Build and maintain documentation and controls on security roles and permissions.
  • Master Data: Build and maintain data catalogs for master data and reference data relevant to the business.
  • Data Quality: Ensure the quality of data through data validation, data reconciliation, and by addressing data quality issues. Complete data cleansing, data classification, data auditing, and data reporting tasks. Validate compliance of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Development of business applications in Microsoft Power Apps & Automate.
  • Work alongside teams within the business or the management team to establish business needs and propose solutions.
  • Support efforts to standardize operational business processes and improve operating efficiency.
  • Support, improve, audit and, when vital, build automated reports and data fosters as the business needs.
  • Develop a deep understanding and Subject Matter Expertise on the Moody's Local systems, data, architecture, and processes.

What you bring

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, or another related field.
  • Ideally, the candidate has a master's degree or specialization course in Data Analytics or related field from accredited institution.
  • Lean Six Sigma, Agile or related certifications will be a plus.

Languages

  • Proficient in English and Spanish, both oral and written.
  • Portuguese is considered a plus.

Skills and Experience

  • 2-5 years of experience in Data-related roles or validated equivalent, preferably from the finance industry.
  • Experience in data governance, establishing data strategies, working with databases, manipulating data and ETL processes.
  • Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power Bi is a must.
  • Knowledge of Python, SQL, or VBA.
  • Experience (P. Apps, Automate, Dataverse).
  • Proven strong analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Highly organized and efficient, with excellent problem solving and communication skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills to reach across the organization to acquire information.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Great teammate with strong ability to adapt to change quickly and to balance multiple priorities.
