The role encompasses the connection between our platform and our database infrastructure. The DBRE team is responsible for all the production (and pre-production) database environments that run monday.com. It's a high-scale high throughput environment that grows all the time. In your day-to-day, you will be responsible for making sure the databases run smoothly while providing the required performance and scale. You will take part in the team's projects (like automations, visibility, new technologies, and more), and you will also support our developers when designing new features and migrating data. As data is at the core of the product, you will have a direct impact on the availability and performance of monday.com

You will be working with a small team of experienced and highly talented engineers with cutting edge technologies while taking full responsibility and ownership from conception to post-deployment in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Our Stack - Elasticsearch, Cassandra, Kafka, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, Ruby, Node.js, AWS, Linux

Your Experience & Skills

  • Proven working experience and deep understanding of RDBMS (MySQL / PostgreSQL/ Oracle / SQL Server / etc).
  • Experience of at least 5+ years with performance optimization and scaling out data worldwide.
  • Coding experience and understanding of code and software environment.
  • Experience and understanding of cloud environments and tools
  • Experience in leading projects, POCing different technologies and rolling out new solutions to the production environment.
  • Great skills of seeing a big picture and system architecture planning.
  • Team player, egoless, strong communication skills, and empathy.
  • Degree in Computer Science (not a must; we're always looking for super talented people)
  • Advantage: working with NoSQL databases like Elasticsearch and Cassandra.
