The Role
Modern Animal is building the future of veterinary care, together - and we’re looking for an experienced manager to implement and drive the recruiting operations for the company. We’re hiring a strategic operator to help us manage our ways of working to support clinic-level hiring as we grow. In addition to project managing workstreams that support our clinic teams at large, this individual will be uniquely responsible for leading how we systematize and scale our work to grow our employee base in a hyper-local and authentic way. More specifically, this role will partner closely with our Recruiting, Medicine, Operations and Marketing teams to ensure that we have designed high-ROI and decentralized processes and approaches to hire all clinic-level roles, such as Doctors, nurses, hosts, and clinic leaders. More specifically, this individual will be responsible for:
- Talent Engagement + Events: In partnership with Marketing and Medicine, develop the strategy and execution to build a talent pipeline, connecting our talent strategy with business goals. This includes building a holistic approach to talent pipeline engagement and implementing a process to manage a central calendar, task timeline (TTL), and ensure cross-functional implementation. Events include Continuing Education events, Campus Recruiting campaigns, and Local Community events for members and talent alike. Engagement touchpoints include email campaigns and website optimization. Act as the operational partner for Recruiting to ensure we are targeting, messaging, and resourcing the right markets at the right time.
- Talent Program Management: Develop the strategy and program manage the following, inclusive of 3rd party relationships, system integrations, processes and communication:

- Referral Programs
- Relief Doctor Program
- Relief Nurse Program
- New Grad Program
- Processes: developing and optimizing our 3rd party systems and internal tools and processes to create an efficient recruiting process at scale, leveraging Greenhouse, Deputy and UKG in the short term.
- Candidate Experience: optimize the recruiting experience to ensure an efficient, high-touch process for all candidates
- Work with recruiters and Finance to make market and region-level recommendations on compensation; conduct internal and external surveys/interviews to understand both qualitative and quantitative drivers for different talent pools
- Work with Operations to systemically understand talent risk level and connect the dots to hiring pipeline
Why you’d be a great fit:
- Minimum 5 years in an operations, recruiting or sales role with KPI ownership
- Project management experience to ensure projects are designed, implemented, and evaluated effectively
- Able to pull insights from multiple sources (ATS, CRM, campaign tools, dashboards) and build clear, actionable reporting that highlights funnel trends, gaps, and performance by clinic, role, or market; fluent in tools like Looker, Tableau, or similar BI platforms.
- Bonus: experience working in multi-site, service-based businesses (e.g. healthcare, education, retail), or recruiting for hard-to-fill or geographically dispersed roles
- Experience with Greenhouse, Slack and Google Suite a plus

- The compensation for this position is $86,000 to $115,000
