Coordinator, Brand Activation
Major League Baseball is seeking a Coordinator, Brand Activation to support development of strategic marketing relationships with MLB’s external broadcast, streaming, and media partners while establishing strong collaborative relationships with MLB’s internal Broadcast, Global Media, Sponsorship, Club Marketing, and Performance Media departments.
Reporting into the Director, Brand Activation, this role will focus on the day-to-day management and fulfillment of contractual assets while providing strategic and creative support for evolving and innovating MLB’s relationships with key external partners.
Responsibilities
- Participate in annual and multi-year marketing planning process to inform proactive and strategically-aligned activation of our brand platform, seasonal campaigns, and other initiatives across external partners
- Partner with a cross-functional cohort of creative professionals (both internal and external), including graphic designers, copywriters, and content producers in the development of high-quality, impactful campaigns.
- Manage and fulfill contractual obligations of external partners (e.g., broadcast, streaming, media, etc.) through tight oversight of briefing, creative development, quality assurance, and asset trafficking
- Collaborate with the PR and Content departments and MLB Network to shape weekly baseball narratives before extending narratives to external partners for amplification
- Support the Marketing Strategy and Marketing Analytics departments in building and sharing a regular performance measurement tracker on tune-in effectiveness
Qualifications & Skills
- 4 year degree from an accredited university in marketing, advertising, communications, business, or related field and 2+ years experience in marketing or related functional area; OR equivalent relevant experience
- One year of experience in marketing or related functional area is preferred.
- An understanding and appreciation of the history and culture of baseball is preferred.
Salary Range: $67,000 - $69,000 (Base Salary) + Bonus
As a candidate for this position, your salary and related aspects of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, skills, and any other factors MLB considers relevant to the hiring decision.
