Assistant, Minor League Operations & Development (Seasonal)
We are seeking a passionate individual to join our team for the 2026 season. Applicants can come from any discipline or background, provided you demonstrate curiosity, open-mindedness, and perseverance in tackling new challenges.
As an Assistant in the Minor League Operations & Development department, you will be fully immersed in the day-to-day administration of MLB’s affiliated player development system with resources to learn, grow, and develop over the course of the season. You will be responsible for supporting key Baseball Operations functions helping to improve the broader player development landscape, while gaining valuable insight into Minor League operations across professional baseball.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with members of the Minor League Operations & Development department and the broader Baseball Operations department on aspects of league operations and administration
- Support communication with Minor League stakeholders, including 120 PDL Club front offices and 30 MLB Club player development departments
- Maintain and update data pipelines in support of Minor League operations and player development initiatives
- Assist in the preparation of materials to support adherence to league policies and operational standards
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis related to current trends in Minor League operations and player development
- Provide departmental support for daily operational and administrative duties
- Develop core and domain-specific baseball operations competencies through hands-on experience, education, and mentorship

Qualifications & Skills
- Undergraduate degree with strong academic performance from any discipline or background
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Astute attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills
- Intrinsically motivated, reliable, and outstanding work ethic
- Strong reasoning and critical thinking skills
- Familiarity with Major League Club operations regarding the Minor Leagues is a plus
- Knowledge of programming and data visualization (SQL, R, Python, Shiny) is a plus but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining availability outside of traditional business hours as dictated by baseball operations activity across the league
Pay Range: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
