Appalachian League Content Creator

The Appalachian League is seeking a highly motivated individual to coordinate and organize all league’s efforts in social media and communications. Applicant must be a creative self-starter capable of meeting strict deadlines. Prior knowledge of social media and creative design is a must along with a strong baseball Background.

Responsibilities

  • Curate, edit, publish and share engaging social media content daily
  • Suggest new and creative ideas to promote league brand
  • Community management: respond to all DMs, like/comment on photos, engage with audience
  • Maintain social media calendar
  • Communicating with Appy League clubs regarding communication initiatives
  • Writing and organizing league press releases and distribution
  • Graphic design
  • Assist Data Coordinator management
  • Promote current & former Appy League players
  • Gather and organize league content from various sources (i.e. team photo days, streaming, in game photos)

Qualifications and Skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of social channels
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and/or Canva
  • Strategic thinker with excellent time and project management skills
  • Knowledge of baseball analytics
  • Must be available to work nights & weekends in-season

Pay Rate: $23 per hour

The actual offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your work experience, education, skills, and any other factors MLB considers relevant to the hiring decision.
