Primary responsibilities - General
- Learn Arcesium, Orchestrade, counterparty reporting, financial products (general concepts, trade booking details, valuations, trade processing, margin regimes, etc.)
- Learn the basics of trade support, margin processing, reconciliation, and break resolution.
- Support trade booking, allocation, and reconciliation processes for equities, fixed income, FX, and listed derivatives.
- Assist with daily trade matching and settlement oversight with brokers, custodians, and fund administrators.
- Monitor trade flow and resolve breaks or discrepancies under supervision.
- Work closely with portfolio managers and traders to confirm trade details and resolve operational issues.
- Help maintain accurate trade records in internal systems and ensure timely updates.
- Assist with end-of-day reporting and reconciliation of cash and positions.
- Run daily pricing.
- Basic support of the PMS system (Orchestrade).
- Review Arcesium reconciliations across the SMA platform (~50k positions across all asset types).
- Investigate, follow up, and advise Arcesium on regular and known breaks, communicate with external managers if needed.
- Identify and escalate to senior members unknown breaks.
- Assist with any operational needs the external managers have from MIO; learn and be able to action about 50% of requests.
- Review and process margin wires in close collaboration with Arcesium and Treasury.
- Analyze collateral and issue call backs, ensure they are processed.
- Ensure accurate reporting of requirement, collateral, and excess/deficit. Work with Middle Office on any collateral management actions.
- 1-2 years of work experience at a fund, administrator, or financial services firm.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (SQL a plus).
- Strong communication, presentation, and quantitative skills working with data and formulas.
- Ability to self-motivate and remain proactive, entrepreneurial, and collaborative.
Base salary range
$90,000-$90,000 USD
