Overview:

We are seeking a GIS Enterprise Solutions Architect with 8–10 years of experience at the intersection of GIS and architecture. This role is ideal for someone who brings technical depth in Esri enterprise implementations, a background in architecture or design technology, and a passion for guiding clients through digital transformation. You’ll work closely with a team of GIS professionals, enterprise clients, and internal stakeholders to shape the vision and execute hands-on GIS strategies—especially integrations between Esri and Autodesk platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead GIS enterprise implementations using Esri products (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online), including the design and deployment of scalable, secure architectures across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients—helping them align GIS strategy with organizational goals through vision planning, roadmap development, and strategic consulting.
  • Provide consulting, hands-on implementation, and technical leadership across all phases of spatial system development, with a strong emphasis on enterprise integration, automation, and long-term sustainability.
  • Design and implement robust integrations between ArcGIS Enterprise and enterprise platforms (e.g., SAP, Maximo, Workday, Autodesk) using REST APIs, ETL tools, webhooks, and scripting (Python, PowerShell).
  • Define and enforce governance, security, and access control policies across ArcGIS environments, including SAML/SSO integration, user roles, and data lifecycle best practices.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with clients, GIS implementors, and internal teams, including IT departments and software vendors, to ensure cohesive solutions that meet both spatial and enterprise IT standards.
  • Monitor and optimize ArcGIS Enterprise environments using tools such as ArcGIS Monitor and server diagnostics, ensuring high availability, responsiveness, and scalability
  • Participate in pre-sales efforts, RFP responses, and client discovery sessions, offering subject matter expertise that supports solution design and scope definition.
  • Represent the team at industry events and conferences (occasional travel encouraged, not required).
  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, mentoring peers and supporting a growing team of GIS and AEC experts through documentation, tooling, and collaborative learning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Architecture, Computer Science, or related field
  • 8–10 years of experience in GIS, architecture, and/or AEC technology
  • Strong background in Esri enterprise environments and spatial data strategy
  • Familiarity with Autodesk software (Revit, Civil 3D, AutoCAD) and Esri-Autodesk integration
  • Certifications or proven experience in GIS enterprise implementation (e.g., GISP, Esri Enterprise certs)
  • Experience with tools like Python, Arcade, FME, ArcGIS API for Python a plus
  • Hands-on, team-first mindset—willing to lead vision and execution
  • Must be able to travel up to 20%.
