Technical Artist, Avatars Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with Art, Design and Engineering teams to define and develop Avatars technologies for Meta's products and apps.
- Design, implement, and maintain the corresponding art and animation pipelines.
- Optimize content for performance and share best practices with cross-functional partners.
- Collaborate, iterate and align with cross-functional leads.

- Problem-solving skills - understanding the underlying technology and tools necessary to power an advanced avatar system
- Experience with Python, C#, or C++ in complex real-time 3D applications and game engines (e.g. Unreal, Unity)
- Proven track record for developing artist pipelines and/or animation systems
- Portfolio showcasing 3D Art and rigging experience in a DCC (e.g. Maya)
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment solving complex problems
- Experience optimizing for large scale games
- Knowledge of emerging technologies, including XR, AI, USD
- Knowledge of parametric 3D content creation
