Strategic Partner Manager, Japan - Telco Ecosystem Partnerships

Telco Ecosystem Partnerships team at Meta is seeking a Strategic Partner Manager to manage our key mobile operator and ecosystem relationships in Japan. In this role, you will work with your regional and global program and product teams to develop, scale and manage our product-based partnerships. The ideal candidate will have experience in partner management and demonstrated track record to synthesize and execute against complex problems and timelines.You will be responsible for coordinating the go-to-market of new and existing partnership programs, and driving the implementation of best practices to maximize program impact for Meta and partners in your region. You will Influence and improve the Meta experience of users in your region by identifying product-market fit gaps and your experience in the telecommunication industry combined with your analytical and business mindset will help you propose and champion new features and programs that deliver value to our partnerships. This full-time position sits in the Growth Partnerships team and is based in our Tokyo office.

Strategic Partner Manager, Japan - Telco Ecosystem Partnerships Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain long-lasting partnerships with leading telcos in Japan
  • Lead a comprehensive partnerships strategy in the region by exploring, identifying, and evaluating strategic opportunities
  • Drive execution of strategic initiatives to enhance Meta's product offerings, generate revenue streams, and drive distribution of the Meta Family of Apps and devices
  • Evangelize and drive adoption of Meta's performance and brand building solutions for partner success on our platform
  • Provide market insights and analysis on partnership performance, market trends, and the competitive landscape
  • Improve the Meta user experience in your region by identifying product-market fit gaps and advocating for the needs and interests of Meta Family of Apps users
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience working within or with the telecommunication industry, focusing on business development, partnerships, or sales
  • In-depth market knowledge, including regulatory environments, consumer behavior, and industry trends
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated experience to interpret data and to make informed decisions
  • Capacity to manage complex projects with cross-functional teams, delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Fluency in Japanese and English
  • BA/BS Degree
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA or advanced professional degree
  • Familiarity with Meta's products and services, with an understanding of Meta's strategic and competitive position in the market
  • Understanding of the emerging technologies and tech industry trends
