You'll partner with firmware, software and research engineers to ensure seamless integration across system components.Ultimately, you'll foster scientific explorations and generate viable paths to the consumer products that will connect people in meaningful ways for decades to come. Software Engineer - Mobile Interactions Responsibilities:
- You'll partner with researchers, firmware engineers and other software engineers to define and develop interactive mobile applications for novel wristband devices running Android OS.
- The work will include Unity (C#), ReactJS and Android SDK (Java or Kotlin) development.
- Develop applications that serve as examples and templates for other researchers to quickly create their own demos, experiments and explorations using our toolkit.
- Serve as a link between the team and the researchers to help accelerate research progress and to inform our strategic plans to better align with future research needs.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years work experience with C/C++/C#, Java or Kotlin
- 3+ years work experience in mobile application development with Unity, Android SDK or ReactJS, including code maintenance and review.
- 2+ years experience developing software for games, autonomous vehicles, robotics or other high performance real-time environments
- Experience developing software with game engines such as Unreal or Unity
- Experience with UI frameworks such at Qt, PyQt
- Web development experience
- Python experience
- Experience supporting users of a Software Development Kit
- Developing AR/VR applications
