Software Engineer (Leadership) - Sensitive Data Team Responsibilities:
- Understand the technical ramifications of new Sensitive Data Privacy legislation across the world
- Drive the teams' strategy and technical direction across Meta's systems and products to satisfy Sensitive Data Privacy goals
- Design and implement critical pieces of shared product infrastructure to satisfy Sensitive Data Privacy goals across Meta's products and systems
- Partner & collaborate with organization and technical leaders across the company to guide Sensitive Data Privacy goals
- Provide mentorship and support to senior engineers in the Privacy org
- Proven track record of planning multi-year roadmaps in which shorter-term projects ladder to the long-term vision
- Experience in driving large cross-functional and industry-wide engineering efforts
- Significant experience communicating and working across functions to drive solutions
- 12+ years of experience with building large-scale applications, tools, platforms or similar experience
- Significant experience in mentoring/influencing senior engineers across organizations
- 5+ years of industry experience in a domain with compliance requirements (e.g. supporting audits, or designing systems to be easily audited)
- 5+ years of experience as a Software, Product or Privacy Engineer in the domains of Data Privacy, Data Lifecycle and Governance
- PhD in Privacy, Security or Programming Languages
