As a Senior Technical Artist you'll be working with a talented group of industry professionals and strategically leading the way in this emergent and creative space. Senior Technical Artist Responsibilities:

  • Strategic driving of the development of Art Pipelines, and Tech Art content including pipeline tools, AI tool integration, feature design and documentation.
  • Owning the Profiling and Optimization of content and features for memory and performance, while maintaining high visual fidelity.
  • Driving collaboration as the bridge between the Art & Engineering disciplines to overcome technical challenges and maintain strategic alignment.
  • Driving the Technical Art team's work to prototype and iterate on new experimental features, including emerging opportunities with Gen AI
  • Hands-on, effective delivery of content to the game including debugging issues and identifying efficiencies.
  • Mentoring other artists to grow their technical skills and sharing knowledge across Meta

  • Proven teamwork and communication skills, openness to receive and offer actionable feedback, experience providing strategic suggestions for asset or process improvements
  • Showreel and example files that demonstrate experienced, expert level technical art core skills showing the solving of complex, large scale problems.
  • Experience in analyzing pipelines, identifying inefficiencies then automating processes for efficiency using scripting languages.
  • Long term understanding of commercial games engines and real-time game asset production and the process of taking an asset from conception to bug fixing and delivery in-game.
  • Experience in to authoring and optimizing shaders in HLSL / GLSL.
  • Experience in authoring and optimizing simple VFX.
  • Experience developing tools and or gameplay logic using engine specific tools such as Unreal Blueprint or Unity C# scripts.
  • Experience with capturing profiling Render and Scene performance using industry standard tools such as Perfetto or RenderDoc.
  • Solid understanding of core art fundamentals, colour theory, form and composition, lighting, plus an appreciation of game level design.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience of working on Mobile platforms and Virtual Reality platforms.
  • Experience with experimental Generative AI workflows including Comfy UI.
  • Extensive experience of tools and pipeline development for industry standard Digital Content Creation packages, e.g. Maya or Blender.
  • Experience with C++
  • Experience with Character Asset pipelines, rigging and related tooling.
