This role is responsible for creating a wide range of visual content, including storyboards, concept art, and animations, to support various creative projects. This individual works closely with producers, artists, directors, and other artists to bring stories to life through compelling visuals and engaging animations. The work will help shape the direction of entertainment content on future devices, providing visual inspiration to stakeholders and cross-functional teams whom we depend on to bring the final experiences to life for users.
Senior Concept Artist - Entertainment Content Responsibilities:
- Storyboarding: Develop detailed storyboards that effectively convey the narrative and visual flow of a project. Collaborate with directors and writers to ensure the storyboards align with the creative vision.
- Concept Art: Create concept art that establishes the visual style and mood of a project. This includes designing characters, environments, and other key elements.
- Art and Animations: Quickly develop art and animations to visualize and test ideas during the early stages of a project. This includes creating rough animations and visual mock-ups.
- Visual Development: Contribute to the overall visual development of projects by exploring different artistic styles and techniques. Work on refining the look and feel of the project from inception to completion.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other artists, animators, and creative team members to ensure a cohesive visual narrative. Provide feedback and support to other artists and assist in mentoring when necessary.

- Artistic Skills: Proficient in concept art, comic book illustration, and narrative illustration. Demonstrated proficiency in translating complex or high-level ideas into visual form for evaluation.
- Technical Skills: Skilled in using Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Premiere Pro, for creating and editing visual content.
- Animation Skills: Experience in creating animations for various media, including games and animated shorts.
- Storytelling: Demonstrated storytelling experience, with a keen understanding of narrative structure and visual storytelling techniques.
- Adaptability: Experienced working on a variety of concurrent projects, from animated features to mobile games, and adapt to different artistic styles and project requirements, managing more than one project at a time.
- Familiarity with internal platforms: Horizon Unity Runtime (HUR) and/or Horizon Standalone Runtime (HSR), and the design and development process for Horizon Worlds
- Current or prior experience working with entertainment content of any kind (music, sports, TV/film), ideally in mixed reality or virtual reality.

$126,000/year to $175,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
