At Meta Reality Labs, we are developing the future of Wearables and Mixed Reality products and this team focuses on developing display and optics technologies for Meta products. Their mission is to create see-through display systems that seamlessly blend the real and virtual realms. This involves designing the architecture and all display sub-systems for AR glasses based on leading technologies developed by Meta's teams. We work on creating advanced display technologies that are essential for AR and VR systems while having sub-teams who connect bits, electrons, photons, and experience for display products across wearables and the metaverse while focusing on display silicon architecture, applied perception studies, image quality, and defining the roadmap and long-term platform development strategy. Within XDO we also aim to develop and implement test, characterization, metrology, and data solutions to support the creation of transparent display systems. Join a team that is pushing the boundaries of display technology for AR wearable devices. As part of the Display and Optics organization in Reality Labs, you will be responsible for the research and development of core optical modules for future products. This is an opportunity to be part of a team of some of the best engineers, scientists, and leaders working at the forefront of display technology. The focus of this position is on optical design of complex devices, coming up with and evaluating new device architectures, working with cross-functional partners to develop prototypes, and helping to define the hardware roadmap of AR displays.
