Reality Labs at Meta is seeking Research Engineers to develop and enhance AI/ML models for our Wearables devices. This role is pivotal in advancing our capacity in interpreting and utilizing biomedical signals for data efficient gesture recognition, contributing to innovative solutions in human-computer interaction.
Research Engineer, Wearables AI (EMG) Responsibilities:
- Design and train EMG and multimodal foundational models and finetune them to tasks of interest
- Research and develop deep learning models for new devices and features under data efficiency constraints.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI/ML model into broader product offerings.
- Set technical direction for research projects.

- Industry experience in AI/ML.
- Programming experience in Python, C++, or similar.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Industry experience in large scale AI/ML model training.
- Experience in setting technical direction to a small team of researchers and engineers.
- First-author publications in machine learning, signal processing, electrical engineering, computer science, computational neuroscience, statistics, physics, or related fields.

$70.67/hour to $208,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
