The Product Quality & Experience organization at Meta is responsible for quality improvements to enable great end-to-end experiences for people and businesses.The Product Quality & Experience organization is seeking a QA Engineering Lead to lead and innovate quality assurance strategies for Meta's expansive product ecosystem. As a QA Engineering Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of quality engineering at Meta. You will tackle complex quality challenges for products built with cutting edge and interoperable technology serving over 3+ billion people worldwide. An ideal candidate will have a technical background, with extensive experience in test engineering and quality assurance. They are visionary, a self-starter, detail-oriented, adept at navigating ambiguity, and have a profound passion for quality and innovation. Additionally, they possess the capacity to navigate and shape QA engineering and testing amidst the AI technology revolution, which is transforming both the products Meta builds and the way we conduct QA engineering.

QA Engineering Lead Responsibilities:
  • Architect and lead the implementation of comprehensive product quality strategies across Meta's wide-ranging product lines, including consumer and business products
  • Design and develop advanced test frameworks and methodologies for mission-critical projects to ensure product integrity before launch
  • Lead the integration of AI-driven testing tools and methodologies, leveraging AI to enhance test coverage, efficiency, and accuracy
  • Stay abreast of AI advancements and their implications on product quality, proactively adapting QA strategies to harness AI's potential
  • Mentor and guide a team of QA leads and engineers, fostering quality work and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering/PM/Operations) to ensure comprehensive QA coverage and provide strategic feedback on quality issues
  • Partner with engineering and infrastructure teams to drive the adoption of automation and scalable solutions to prevent regressions and enhance product reliability
  • Evaluate and influence the release process, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products
  • Define, implement, and optimize QA processes to scale testing efforts across the organization
  • Establish and champion quality metrics that measure test effectiveness, efficiency, and overall product quality
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Extensive experience with industry-standard test automation tools and frameworks
  • 10+ years of quality engineering and/or test engineering experience, with a focus on large-scale systems
  • Proven track record in architecting and executing complex test strategies and frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with performance, stress testing, and quality test automation for both mobile and web applications
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, PHP, Java, C/C++, or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Expertise in leveraging data analytics to drive product quality improvements
  • Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams across global locations
  • Demonstrated creativity and initiative in enhancing product quality coverage and effectiveness
  • Demonstrated communication skills, with the capacity to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders at all organizational levels
  • Demonstrated experience in thriving in an ambiguous environment, with an outstanding capacity for self-prioritization and project management
  • Experience in project management methodologies, tools, and phases of a project lifecycle

$186,000/year to $254,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
