Public Affairs Manager, Strategic Response

Meta is seeking a Communications Manager with solid project management skills to help support the Public Affairs team.This person will work alongside cross-functional groups including communications, policy, legal, marketing and product to convene key decision makers, run cross-functional planning calls, maintain coordination, and manage the execution of an external plan. The position requires effective communication and organizational skills, as well as cross-functional management experience. This person will be required to build and maintain relationships across the company.You will quickly absorb complex issues, ensure alignment across groups and lead cross-functional efforts to see it through. Highly motivated and a natural self-starter, this person will also have the opportunity to create new processes, manage information in a visually appealing and easy-to-understand way, and help drive results across a team of dynamic communicators and policy professionals.

Public Affairs Manager, Strategic Response Responsibilities:
  • Support a broad scope of projects across various issues, events and moments
  • Manage a cross-functional team on some of Meta's most pressing and complex issues
  • Partner with communication and policy team members to determine strategy for external engagement
  • Identify key decisions that need to be made and drive escalation process
  • Develop and maintain internal coordination materials to ensure smooth execution
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience working in communications, policy, public affairs, or marketing
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, or related field
  • Experience managing multiple deliverables and working in a deadline driven environment
  • Experience creating and maintaining project management documents
  • Experience managing complex issues, launches, events and building consensus among stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience navigating the technology policy landscape

$116,000/year to $170,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
