Meta seeks to recruit a new Manager, Production Engineering to lead a new team in the Monetization Production Engineering space. Production Engineering is a hybrid software/systems group that ensures Meta's services and products run smoothly and have the capacity for future growth. Production Engineers work with Meta's product and infrastructure teams, sometimes embedded in those teams, collaborating in building and scaling technology solutions.The Monetization Production Engineering group acts as the bridge between the product focused Monetization (Ads) organization and our Infrastructure organization. This role is for someone who likes to work on customer facing issues, is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and dive into details and someone who gets energized by working with a large number of cross-functional teams.Our top advertisers bring billions of dollars of revenue to Meta and rely on our advertising platform to meet their own business objectives. These advertisers stretch our system in unique ways and expect the system to be reliable 24/7. We are looking for a leader to own end-to-end reliability for our top advertisers based on quantifiable metrics that are tied to incident resolution, completion of long term follow-ups and customer satisfaction. This leader will lead a team of engineers who will work on tooling and automation by leveraging the latest technological advancements in AI to drive improved outcomes for our advertisers. This will include state of the art monitoring and diagnose solutions, amongst other things. This leader will collaborate with a large number of cross-functional partners across Software Engineering, Production Engineering, Sales, Support, Data Science, and Data Engineering.

Production Engineering Manager, Monetization Responsibilities:
- Manage portions of Meta's 24x7, always-available advertising systems that enables advertisers from all over the world to create and manage advertising campaigns to connect their businesses with their audiences.
- Build and lead a world-class team of managers and engineers scaling with Meta through a period of continued high-growth.
- Manage and mentor portions of the existing production engineering team
- manage and challenge high performers as well as performance manage those who need more help.
- Measure and improve efficiency and effectiveness of processes that are working well and build the next level of improvements
- set standards for deployments at scale, infrastructure reliability, and scalability.
- Team with all technical functions across the company to ensure all organizations are in sync.
- Continue to improve the thriving engineering work environment across all tech functions. Build and lead an organization with customer focus, world class quality, effective communication, decisive, fast moving solutions, quick and constructive resolutions to conflicts, and a "no barriers" mentality.
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of direct management experience in a technology role
- Experience with mission critical user facing systems or products.
- Experience with incident management and service ownership
- Experience implementing instrumentation and monitoring solutions.
- Experience interacting with services in higher level languages like C++, Java, and PHP.
- Communication and cross functional collaboration experience
- Experience with building teams and/or organizations, including hiring and managing performance
- Demonstrate experience in hiring and building out the organization quickly to accommodate growth.
- Experience working directly with customers
- Prior experience working with Sales and Support teams
