Meta is making a significant investment in empowering businesses to communicate with customers through our messaging channels (WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram Direct). With over 3 billion monthly active users on WhatsApp, 1 billion monthly active users on Messenger, and a growing presence on Instagram Direct, business messaging is poised to become the next pillar of Meta's business. We're seeking a talented Product and Marketing leader to drive thought leadership on global product development and go-to-market strategies for this rapidly growing area.We are looking for an experienced Product Marketing Director who is knowledgeable and passionate about messaging ecosystems. This person will manage a team of experienced Product Marketing Managers working on our Paid Messaging solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience with B2B and Enterprise products, with an understanding of industry competitive landscape, trends, and business models. They will lead a high performing team to develop strategy, key messages, and global launch plans to bring products to market. The leader will aggregate market insights to inform product development and risk mitigation, and will partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities to improve how our Paid Messaging products can unlock value for people and businesses. Proven strategic thinking skills, cross-functional leadership, analytical and communication skills, and experience with ambiguity are a must.

Product Marketing Director, Paid Messaging Responsibilities:
  • Manage a high-performing business product marketing team
  • Understand the needs of businesses, actively identifying gaps and opportunities to better serve the audience, shaping product strategies and plans
  • Partner with cross-functional team leaders to develop go-to-market plans globally, including positioning and cross-channel activation, and quarterback launches to support revenue and product adoption goals
  • Drive alignment across product and business teams to unify our vision and goals for our Paid Messaging solutions
  • Provide thought leadership and recommendations working across our Paid Messaging portfolio and shepherd product strategy and development
  • Independently navigate a variety of internal and external stakeholders to influence, align, and drive execution
  • Effectively communicate across the organization and execute on priorities with agility to evolve with business needs
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of professional experience in technology, business strategy, product marketing, product management or marketing experience, with demonstrated experience contributing at strategic, operational and tactical levels
  • 8+ years experience leading teams, including managing managers
  • Experience mentoring and leading a broad team across geographical regions
  • Experience influencing at a variety of levels in an organization, including with cross-functional leaders
  • Experience driving resolution in the context of competing perspectives
  • Quantitative analytical experience
  • Experience synthesizing analysis and communicating concepts
  • Experience launching and driving adoption of new products and services, owning and achieving key performance indicators
  • Experience working with Enterprise organizations
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree
  • MBA degree
  • Experience working independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, or fluid environment, with experience adapting, spotting issues early, and escalating (e.g., start-up, management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy)
  • Experience with the Telco/SMS ecosystem, or businesses that leverage SMS to communicate with customers

$232,000/year to $296,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
