Meta is looking for a policy manager with experience in data and emerging technology policy issues, particularly privacy and data regulation, to join our global Privacy & Data Policy team. In this role, you'll identify privacy and data-related legislative and regulatory trends globally, and help shape the company's response. To do so, you'll work closely with public policy managers, product program managers, and legal counsel, to develop strategies that enable Meta's mission to build the future of human connection and the technology that makes it possible.This is a great opportunity to work on novel regulatory issues in an exciting, dynamic environment.
Privacy and Public Policy Manager Responsibilities:
- Track and analyze policy and legislative trends related to privacy and data use, and share insights with internal partners to help guide development of products and policies.
- Analyze and develop positions and talking points on specific legislative proposals.
- With internal partners, support the development of legislative advocacy strategies.
- Gather and develop external research to support Meta's policy positions on legislative and regulatory issues.
- Draft policy position papers for internal and external audiences on a range of data regulatory matters, including artificial intelligence.
- Represent the team and Meta at meetings and public-facing events.

- 5+ years working on technology law or policy.
- Knowledge of policy and data regulatory trends and policy debates and their impact and relevance for our industry.
- Experience analyzing legislation.
- Demonstrated skills and experience creating short- and long-form analyses and talking points.
- Experience navigating dynamic work environments and prioritizing multiple simultaneous projects.
- Experience creating scalable policy solutions and frameworks for policy teams to use based on knowledge of privacy and data policy environment.
- Experience drafting legislation
- Experience in multiple regions of the world.
- Experience working with product teams on policy or legal issues.

$123,000/year to $186,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
