Materials Chemist for UV-Curable Materials
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chemist to be part of our e2e materials development team for our optical 3D printing technology to enable mass customization for smart and AR glasses. The candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and productizing Jettable UV-curable ink formulations that meet stringent optical, mechanical, and reliability requirements. This role requires a combination of technical mastery, innovative problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration to drive materials from concept to lab-scale development and eventually to commercial production and real-life application.
Materials Chemist for UV-Curable Materials Responsibilities:
- Develop, optimize and test UV-curable ink formulations to meet jetting and finished ophthalmic lens requirements for glasses
- Conduct research and development activities to improve existing products and create new ones
- Troubleshooting: Resolve material-related challenges through root-cause analysis and iterative testing
- Collaborate with other team members and cross-functional teams, including process engineering, application engineering, system architect, down-stream integration team, sourcing, EHS, regulatory etc. to ensure successful product launches
