The Meta Imaging Experience Architecture (iXA) team is seeking an experienced Imaging Systems Engineer. As part of the iXA team you will have the unique opportunity to interact with the best-in-class architects, scientists, and engineers working to define the future of display. At Meta, our goal is to build products that provide optimal content reproduction for each device. Content fidelity and consistency is critical to the success of Meta devices that feature displays. To this end, we must architect pipelines that ensure that color rendering appears consistent from device to device, regardless of the display or camera and viewing conditions. This position requires experience in creating and programming display and camera pipelines, with an emphasis on rapid prototyping of new architectural concepts on proof-of-concept devices. Focus areas will be general image processing, color transformations, tone mapping, and foveated color processing. The role requires a basic understanding of AR systems and components, and will leverage this knowledge to build display imaging systems/subsystems on prototype platforms that could eventually lead to future product insertion.
