Hardware Engineer, Calibration
Our XR Tech organization team explores, develops, and delivers new cutting-edge technologies that serve as the foundation of current and future MR and Wearables products. From blending virtual and real world experiences to natural inputs to rich virtual content generation, XR Tech is focused on taking new technologies from early concept to the product level while iterating, prototyping, and realizing the human value and new experiences they open up. As a Mechanical Engineer for Calibration, you will develop calibration equipment, test and characterize it, as well as define the calibration procedure. You will work closely with teams developing novel sensors, silicon, and integrated products to guarantee successful calibration and establish clear interfaces and quality gates. The solutions we work with involve a broad range of hardware sub-components, ranging from motors and actuators, cameras and sensors, computer packages as well as custom electronics and robot arms. This role collaborates closely with software and system engineers to ensure a seamless calibration workflow for a variety of devices used by XR Tech.If you have a keen appetite for novel technology and enjoy working in small, empowered teams solving complex problems within a cross-functional environment then this is the role for you!
