Reality Labs Silicon team is defining the solution space state-of-the-art with continuous technological and methodological groundbreaking work targeting the portfolio of products that Meta is envisioning for the metaverse.The level of power, performance, and area trade-offs to implement earth shattering Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Mixed Reality experiences are unprecedented and require to continuously challenge what is thought possible. Reality Lab Silicon team exists to push this vision through silicon solutions that have mind-spinning targets.This role is at the center of this pathfinding journey, focusing at identifying silicon technologies, tools, methods that will define the foundation on which Reality Labs Silicon System on Chips will be built, and in that, molding the ecosystem around us.

Design Implementation Pathfinding Lead Responsibilities:
- Formulate data driven recommendations for the technology node more appropriate for each of Reality Lab Silicon SOCs.
- Lead material transformation in methods and flows for the development of Reality Lab Silicon SOCs.
- Contribute to path finding initiatives in collaboration with Reality Lab Silicon Research and Reality Lab Research organization in the space of low power design implementations.
- Contribute to path finding initiatives in collaboration with Reality Lab Silicon Research and Reality Lab Research organization in the space of foundational technology, e.g., low power PHYs, Memories, chiplet high speed communication PHYs.
- Steward the pragmatic adoption of new technology, methods, flows in Reality Lab Silicon SOCs in development.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of physical design or correlated silicon implementation experience.
- Experience in the RTL2GDSII flow and design tapeouts in 16nm/14nm or below process technologies.
- Experience with low-power implementation, power gating, multiple voltage rails and UPF/CPF.
- Experience working with EDA tools like Fusion Compiler/Genus, ICC2/Innovus, Primetime, Redhawk/Voltus or Calibre.
- Resilience to Change, Entrepreneurial spirit, interest for Pragmatic Innovation.
- Experience driving EDA Vendors in flows/tools/methodology customizations.
- Experience driving technology ecosystem (foundries, OSAT, PHY Suppliers, library suppliers) pragmatic customization.
- Experience in Block-level and Full-chip floor-planning, power grid planning.
- Knowledge of static timing analysis and concepts, defining timing constraints and exceptions, corners/voltage definitions.
- Experience with custom or regular clock tree synthesis implementation at block level or top level, and clock power reduction techniques.
- Experience with Python, TCL or Perl programming.
