We are looking for a Content Strategy & Insights Analyst with proven success and experience using data, research, and analytics to inform content strategy, programming, and business decisions. As part of the Reality Labs Entertainment Content group, this position will work closely with creative content producers, strategy teams, and insights functions across Data Science, UXR, and Data Engineering. The role will provide reporting, research analysis, and recommendations to support key verticals of Sports, Music, and TV/Film that are producing and programming MR apps, virtual worlds, and video content for Meta's Reality lab products including Meta Quest, Horizon Worlds, and more.

- Lead several internal content reporting workstreams providing consistent data reports with key recommendations and insights for content teams.
- Partner with Data Engineering and Data Science teams to prioritize content reporting metrics, define data needs, and build dashboards to support content team strategy, planning, and execution.
- Support, guide, and provide feedback to the data science team on their projects supporting the entertainment team and portfolio of content titles.
- Partner with User Experience Research (UXR) and Marketing Insights teams to develop hypotheses, prioritize research questions, scope research studies, and provide feedback and direction on approach, execution, and derived insights.
- Develop data visualizations and visual frameworks to communicate data and key insights.
- Independently perform analysis on content performance and assist in forecasting performance using internal dashboards, third-party analytics tools, and manually manipulating data in spreadsheets.
- Manage and maintain team data sets, metadata, and taxonomy schemas as source of truth for consistency in reporting, categorization, and assessment of the content portfolio.
- Assist in development of new success metrics and reporting KPIs for new content initiatives and distribution platforms.
- Communicate and translate complex data analysis and research findings into compelling and clear strategy presentations and executive reviews to convert insights into take-aways and strategic recommendations.
- Train and guide other team members on internal reporting tools, metric definitions, and how to appropriately use and apply data within other team roles.
- Stay informed of broader Virtual Reality (VR/MR/AR), Film/TV, Music, and Sports industry news, trends and insights methodologies
- 8+ years of experience working in a content analytics, audience development, strategy analyst, or similar data-driven content functions at a digital platform, tech company, media company, or relevant industry.
- Experience with data analysis specific to entertainment content and track record of making data-driven decisions within a content organization.
- Advanced skills with analytics suites including dashboards, third-party tools, and raw data in excel or spreadsheets to identify key trends, insights, or performance take-aways.
- Demonstrated experience to understand complex problems and synthesize trends and insights for different audiences including executives and peer set
- Communication skills to create clear, succinct, and visual reporting materials and presentations for various stakeholders
- Understanding of content partners, content business models, and the overall media landscape
- High attention to detail and facility documenting data sources, queries, or working data trackers
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Experience or understanding of data query languages (e.g. MySQL)
- Experience with developing dashboards and using content management systems
- Interest for current trends in entertainment industry, especially new technologies in the AR/VR industry
- Experience communicating with and presenting data insights and visualizations to external partners
