Meta is seeking a Component Quality Engineer responsible for working with suppliers and manufacturing partners to develop and implement quality programs for interconnects used in Meta Infrastructure.
Component Quality Engineer, Interconnects Responsibilities:
- Quality management of advanced interconnect (Cable cartridge, AEC, Copper Cable etc.).
- Drive Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Action and resolution of failures at Original design manufactures and in Meta data centers
- Working with suppliers on improvements to manufacturing processes and throughputs, SI tests
- Qualification and enablement of new suppliers in the cable domain
- 20% travel
- Manufacturing audits of vendors

- Proven experience on cable design, cable cartridge design (Ultra-pass etc.)
- Proven experience on challenges for different connectors
- Experience on copper cable manufacturing processes (Wire treatment, resistance laser welding, injection molding, etc.) and tests (harness and cartridge level tests etc.)
- Understand quality and reliability metrics for cables and connectors
- Knowledge of reliability qualification process for cables and connectors
- 7+ years of experience in high speed copper cable manufacturing processes, tests, and reliability qualification processes

$139,000/year to $200,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
