Meta is seeking a skilled Architect to lead the development of multimedia algorithms for Silicon Acceleration, with expertise in Imaging, Computer Vision, and Graphics. Key responsibilities include creating software models and bit-accurate specifications for hardware acceleration, with a focus on power and performance optimization. We're looking for a motivated self-starter who thrives in cross-functional environments and has a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
Augmented Reality Silicon Accelerators Algorithms Architect Responsibilities:
- Solve end-to-end problems in image processing across Camera, Display, Computer Vision, and Graphics domains.
- Invent and develop algorithms that integrate machine learning and traditional processing techniques, optimizing for high performance and low power consumption.
- Develop software models, including functional and bit-accurate fixed-point models.
- Collaborate closely with software teams across the stack to enable new features.
- Support and guide silicon implementation teams in designing and verifying hardware accelerators.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 12+ years of experience in Imaging Algorithms, CV Algorithms, and/or Graphics
- Proven track record of developing algorithms from concept to implementation in Silicon and/or Software
- Proficiency in C++/C programming languages, including fixed-point implementation
- Experience with performance analysis and optimization modeling
- Background in both classic and ML algorithms, as well as experience in developing pixel processing algorithms and optimizing imaging pipelines
- PhD in Electrical Engineering / Computer Science or related fields
- Experience developing algorithms for acceleration in Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality or Mobile application processors
