Job Description:
This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns.
Responsibilities:
- Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
- Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
- Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack
- Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
- Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
- Automates manual release activities
- Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)
Business Description:
The DPA Development Team supports critical functions for various Lines of Businesses. This role will be 1 of the 3 - Associates (Employees) in DPA. This will be a "Seasoned / Experienced - MS .NET / SQL Server" developer role. This role requires and individual who can work Independently and Collaborate Effectively within a small development team. This person will need to be Knowledgeable, Self Starter, Motivated & Tenacious" to dig into "Older / Legacy Code - Functionality & Relentlessly Refactor Code / Functionality Logic".
Required Qualifications:
- This will be a "Seasoned / Experienced - MS .NET / SQL Server" developer role. who can work "Independently" and also "Collaborate Effectively" within a small development team.
- "Knowledgeable, Self Starter, Motivated & Tenacious" to dig into "Older / Legacy Code - Functionality & Relentlessly Refactor Code / Functionality Logic".
- A Senior Developer -- skilled / advanced - experienced using MS .NET Product Stack & MS SQL Server - Product & Features (SSIS, SSRS).
- Strong working experience with SaFe LEAN Agile processes / artifacts / procedures - routines.
- Strong working experience with DevOps process & adoption / tools i.e. BitBucket, Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, Ansible Tower; Code Quality / Scanning / Coverage tools like SonarQube, Checkmarx, JUNIT EE / nUNIT etc.
- Hands on experience refactoring Older / Legacy Source Code/ Functionality will be "Highly Valued / Desirable".
- Strong working experience with CA Autosys Scheduler(s).
- Strong & Clear Communication Skills is a must.
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering/Computer Science is required.
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Consumer / Small Business Functional / Domain knowledge is very desirable.
