Job Description:
This job is responsible for building and leading a team to deliver technology products and services that meet business outcomes. Key responsibilities include developing a technology strategy, ensuring technology solutions comply with applicable standards, promoting design, engineering, and organizational practices, and advocating and advancing modern, Agile solution delivery practices. Position Summary:
This is an exciting opportunity to join Enterprise Payments Technology (EPT) and be part of a dynamic and fun team with amazing leadership. EPT is a global payments team which provides a wide range of financial platforms and services. EPT is made of core payment business technology functions including Merchant Solutions, Card Issuing, Digital Wallets, Transfers, Liability Payments and Settlement. EPT facilitates the movement of roughly $693 trillion through the processing of approximately 18.8 billion transactions a year to more than 66 million consumer/small business relationships and 2 million wealth management clients. The Merchant Business Software Suite (MBSS) team is responsible for the delivery of a largescale, multi-year program to provide a scalable and customizable point-of-sale software across a broader set of industry verticals. The initiative arises from a recent strategic acquisition to broaden the Bank's Merchant Services capabilities.
This role is an experienced Quality Engineer Manager, who is responsible for building and leading a team to deliver technology products and services that meet business outcomes. Their primary responsibility is to the people they manage, ensuring they are developing through coaching, mentoring, feedback, and hands on career development. Other key responsibilities may include developing a technology strategy and ensuring technology solutions comply with applicable standards. This role advocates and advances modern, Agile solution delivery practices and evangelizes great design, engineering and organizational practices.
This role brings a 'testing mindset' to the team, and is responsible for testing and delivering complex software requirements to accomplish business outcomes. They are a subject matter expert on testing practices ensuring the testing strategy and processes are well-defined and continuously improved for the team or teams. Key responsibilities of the role include establishing a test and automation strategy, creating common test frameworks, defining and managing test processes including test data generation, defect management and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Builds and manages teams by performing financial activities to inform workforce strategy and hiring practices, setting and tracking maturity and quality objectives, and training employees/teams to address feedback and achieve quality and performance objectives
- Facilitates performance and career development of employees/teams through performance reviews, coaching, and creating development plans that are needed to build competencies and skills
- Manages solution delivery and application performance in production (app health, resiliency, performance, security, enterprise data management standards, audit exams and reviews), ensuring all relevant risk, financial, and compliance policies are met
- Manages relationships with business and technology partners and leads and creates followership in Communities of Practice in the organization
- Contributes to the technology strategy for their technical domain
- Creates an inclusive and healthy working environment and helps to resolve organizational impediments/blockers
- Ensures that execution is aligned with product strategy by working with product management and other stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

- 8+ years experience ensuring that execution is aligned with product strategy by working with Product Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders.
- Create an inclusive and healthy working environment, and help to resolve organizational impediments/blockers.
- Create and optimize test processes including defect management and reporting.
- Create and optimize test automation frameworks and use of test automation tools.
- Create a test automation strategy across the application stack (UI, API, Backend and so on).
