Analyst/Associate - Credit Asset Finance Role

Job Description:

Credit Asset Financing (CAF) team is engaged in the origination, structuring, and risk management of loans, total return swaps, related credit derivatives and other innovative financings. The primary underlying asset classes are high-yield corporate loans, high-yield bonds, and middle market loans. The CAF desk is part of Global Credit and Special Situations and aligned with CLO origination and trading.

The CAF team is seeking a qualified credit analyst to evaluate middle market and large corporate credits for inclusion of loans in portfolio financing facilities for Private Credit Lenders. The analyst will also be responsible for ongoing portfolio management.

Role:

  • Work closely with BofA's strategic clients on portfolio financings by providing a responsive review process for new credits (utilizing materials provided by agent/counterparty) and existing credits
  • Provide independent credit analysis of newly issued corporate credit
  • Complete quarterly financial updates and determine carrying values of distressed credits breaching certain triggers
  • Present results of portfolio analysis to senior management and risk partners

Potential Qualifications:

  • Credit analyst with experience underwriting and analyzing corporate credits
  • Accounting background preferred
  • Sample backgrounds could include corporate credit analyst, leveraged finance, research analyst, corporate bank loan officers or direct lending origination

Pay and benefits information

Pay range

$70,000.00 - $175,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
