Job Description

Associate Director, Engineering, Development and Integration - Rahway, NJ:

  • Own and manage the product feature through the duration of the product lifecycle.
  • Define the overall product feature vision and strategy, with a keen focus on value, business outcomes, and user experience.
  • Make product feature decisions, and ensure decisions align with product strategy.
  • Develop and regularly calibrate metrics for the product feature.
  • Drive continuous product feature discovery to understand user needs and translate that solutions and product feature backlog.
  • Set and communicate high-integrity roadmap commitments that have been assessed collaboratively with the delivery squad(s) in terms of value, feasibility, usability, and viability.
  • Create, maintain, and continuously prioritize the product feature backlog to maximize value delivery and its long-term sustainability (including stability, compliance and other aspects appropriately).
  • Ensure that the backlog is transparent, visible, and understood for all stakeholders.
  • Lead adoption and retention of the product. Drive release and support planning and execution (Go to market strategy and execution).
  • Connect the delivery squad(s) with the customers and facilitate direct communication between them.
  • Monitor and optimize product feature's total cost of ownership (TCO).
  • Interact with Application teams for requirements, discussing the feasibility of requirements, Architecture and participating in the development and moving applications into Cloud.
  • Design, implement, and maintain all AWS and Azure infrastructure and services within a managed service environment.
  • Participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
  • Select appropriate Cloud services to design and deploy an application based on given requirements.
  • Implement process and quality improvements through task automation.
  • Design infrastructure as code, security automation and automation or routine maintenance tasks.
  • Support the business development lifecycle (Business Development, Capture, Solution Architect, Pricing and Proposal Development).
  • Utilize expertise with AWS Organizations to consolidate multiple AWS accounts into an organization to create a new AWS account and centrally manage.
  • Design, implement, and manage IAM including AWS Service Control policies.
  • Design Infrastructure as Code templates to manage cloud native resources.
  • Manage CICD pipelines and work with tools such as CloudFormation, Jenkins & Git. Implement automation that eliminates repetitive tasks.
  • Develop and write SDLC documentation for the platform and its capabilities.
  • Develop software in light-weight applications, scripts, and services with PowerShell or Python.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree (or US Equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
  • Must have at least 10 years experience as a result-oriented IT Professional working in all phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) - project analysis, requirements, design, development, testing, and deployment and documentation that includes 5 years direct experience managing IT portfolios including solutions deployed in physical datacenters and on AWS and Azure and 5 years experience managing infrastructure-related technology.
  • Experience owning and delivering digital products; in different delivery methods (agile, traditional) in large organizations; product management techniques such as strategy, road mapping etc.; and aligning the organization and communicating complex technical decisions also required.
  • Must have one or more cloud provider certifications.
  • Expertise and experience with Python; experience creating and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GIT and Jenkins; and Cloud networking capabilities required.
  • Must have strong understanding of networking, operating system fundamentals (Windows and Linux), security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, etc.) and strong knowledge of a variety of cloud native services including but not limited to EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, IAM, CloudFormation, DynamoDB, VPC, Route53, CloudWatch, Service Catalog and the management of these services using CLI and SDK.
  • Telecommuting permitted.
  • 40 hours per week: M-F: 9am -5pm.
  • Must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States.
