Our team of experts handles the continuous design, planning, optimization, and implementation of moving goods from the suppliers to their final mile distribution network. through custom distributor location selection.

The Sr. Freight Manager is responsible for the management and oversight of the daily supply chain logistics activities between major Foodservice National Account and KINEXO's internal account team. This position will analyze, review, assign method and track all freight management lanes that support the customer's Distribution network.

The Sr. Freight Manager is a hybrid position which will require the candidate to report and work from the office four days a week. Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute radius from Rocky Mount, NC.

Essential Job Functions/Principal Accountabilities:

Freight Targeting:

  • Analyze lane costing to determine the most effective routing method utilizing KINEXO Logistics, Supplier or Distributor.
  • Approve and assign lane awards to program.
  • Notify and coordinate implementation of lanes with KINEXO internal team, Distributors, Suppliers and National Account team.
  • Coordinate pricing implementation within KINEXO and National Account systems.

Distributor/Supplier Management:

  • Coordinate resolution with Supplier, Distributor, and National Account on reported damages.
  • Follow up on shared savings reporting with Distributor and Controller.
  • Allocate rebates and provide to Controller.
  • Conduct Distributor calls to review Distributor managed lanes-bi-monthly.
  • Review and approve Distributor requests for bracket adjustments based on shift in product velocities.
  • Allocate rebates where applicable and provide details to the Controller.

Distributor Transitions:

  • Analyze and confirm bracket assignment by supplier based on product velocities.
  • Coordinate pricing implementation with KINEXO and National Account team.
  • Assimilate and provide reporting annually, monthly, ad-hoc per KPI's and pre-determined cost/savings metrics.
  • Field supplier and DC pricing questions - minimum order-usage-bracket.
  • Document DC unloading and communicate internally.
  • Assist with Freight Expediting requests by Kinexo or National Account.
  • Work with account and KINEXO on logistics supply chain cost improvement projects.

Minimum Skills & Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or related area.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong excel skills with problem solving and analytical thought process.
  • Strong planning and organization skills.
  • Prior logistics experience.
  • Ability to interact with multi levels of management both internal and external.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment.
  • Limited travel required.
