This position is based in Temple, TX, which will require the candidate to report and work from the office on a regular basis. Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute commute to Temple, TX.

Partner with internal merchandising stakeholders and suppliers to track and optimize pricing, rebates, and incentives; ensure appropriate ROI; and manage all supplier related meetings, live events, and virtual events.

What you'll do as a Merchandising Income Analyst:

  • Analyze buying opportunity and ROI potential for supplier price increases. Confirm completion of purchasing buys and report final gain on purchases.
  • Track and monitor potential impact to income resulting from price increases and changes in supplier terms or rebate agreements.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure Virtual Trade Show is updated with all appropriate show detail requirements.
  • Create internal tracking for rebates and supplier incentives. Update contacts for all rebates to ensure auto remittance is sent to the correct suppliers. Submit rebates for tracking in the contract management system. Research repayment requests for all rebates. Annually analyze previous year rebate earnings vs sales to understand how minimum rebates will be adjusted at the new year and to understand impact of changes.
  • For suppliers who have purchased advertising thru McLane media, ensure ads are received timely and in the correct format. Invoice suppliers for payment and ensure all payments are collected and posted to the correct GL accounts.
  • For all McLane sponsored events, collect registration from suppliers, invoice registration and sponsorship fees, and ensure payments are collected and posted to the appropriate GL accounts.
  • Determine, track, and monitor key commodity pricing indicators and share findings with merchandising leaders and their teams.
  • Track, monitor, and evaluate budgets and payments for rebates, heavy liquid fees, and beverage/water/non water fees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you'll bring as a Merchandising Income Analyst:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply-chain logistics, transportation, or related field.
  • 3+ years relevant experience in financial analysis, accounting, purchasing, merchandising, rebates or buying strongly preferred.
  • High proficiency in excel is required.
  • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.
  • Experience in data/contract/rebate analytics required.
  • Strong time management, problem solving, decision making, and negotiation skills are required.
  • This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
