To provide a delightful experience, we must:
Coordinate and create forums for HR teams and projects to partner on new HR service and solution delivery and align and communicate to all stakeholders. Partner across HR and the enterprise, and serve as a connecting point and integrator to help meet project success Eagerly simplify complexity, clarify roles and responsibilities, and drive continuous process improvements
As a Sr. Project Manager, you will be responsible for standing up and managing cross-functional projects designed to improve the employee experience of the “I need assistance” moment-that-matters at McKesson. This position will partner with our HR functional process owners and with our business to support the implementation of any new Employee Care or HR Shared Services scope, technology, processes, etc.
This position reports to the Sr. Director of Strategy and Enablement and will collaborate with teams across the organization to manage projects that touch internal technologies, policies, processes, systems, and people. The Sr. Project Manager for Employee Care will activate and lead complex projects to help our people leaders and employees with human resources support inquiries. This role will be able to influence and lead collaborative working groups to make meaningful changes for our people. Our ideal candidate has experience working on complex initiatives with multiple stakeholders and has a passion for understanding and improving our employee experience.
Key Responsibilities (List the top five to seven essential responsibilities in priority order.)
1. Project Design & Initiation: Create strategy and methodology for project delivery. Design roles, processes and forums for appropriate reviews and approvals on solutions. Support prioritization and activation of deliveries.
2. Connector and Collaboration: Build strong, collaborative relationships with partners across the enterprise. Serve as a single point of contact and connective point on projects. Take projects from original concept through final implementation aligned with a defined scope of work. Ensure outputs are thoroughly tested before deployment to the business and the Employee Care team. Communicate clear and concise messaging to various levels of leadership consistently.
3. Project Delivery: Drive projects of varying size and complexity. Create forums for co-creation and tracking progress against plans. Align and communicate to all stakeholders. Creatively troubleshoot issues. Develop common tools and templates for consistent delivery approaches. Demonstrate strong coordination skills and ability to question solutions. Manages the integration of task, and tracks and reviews deliverables.
4. Project Plan Management: Plan and direct schedules as well as project budget (as needed). Develops detailed work plans, schedules, resource plans, and status reports. Develop detailed project plans, summarizing progress, risks, stakeholders, and milestones. Leverage Excel, Smartsheet or similar solutions to coordinate virtual teams and work. Raise risks and conflicts to leadership in a timely manner; assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and goals.
5. Project Management Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous process improvements of project end to end delivery with feedback loops and postmortems drive risk mitigation solutions and recommendations for projects, review risk tracking, and overall governance of the projects risk reporting. Use judgement to employ new processes or approaches to work
Minimum Job Qualifications:
Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience
Education/Training –
Minimum 7 years’ relevant experience in project management, program management or consulting.
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Project Management certification preferred (e.g., Project Management Professional)
Knowledge of design principles and methods
Business Experience –
Experience leading projects or programs with functional and enterprise impact
Experience in coordinating complex work activities across multiple functions, organizations, and stakeholder groups
Experience with technology implementation such as case management technology, AI, etc.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position
$107,200 - $178,600
