McKesson Canada Specialty Health is seeking a dynamic Senior Manager of Training to lead a high-performing training team and serve as a strategic partner across our business units. This role is pivotal in designing and executing impactful training programs that elevate staff performance and ensure exceptional service delivery to patients and customers.

Location: 2300 Meadowvale Boulevard Mississauga, ON
*This is a hybrid role, requiring on-site presence at the office two days per week

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive training strategy aligned with business goals, with a focus on healthcare and pharmaceutical operations.
  • Lead and mentor a team of training professionals to deliver high-quality, scalable training solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess training needs and deliver targeted learning programs that enhance the customer and patient experience.
  • Ensure training initiatives are strategically aligned with the objectives of McKesson Canada Specialty Health’s business units.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of onboarding programs for new and returning staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and internal policies.
  • Drive continuous improvement through training that supports operational excellence and quality enhancement.
  • Partner with stakeholders to deliver change management training for new systems, processes, and strategic initiatives.
  • Support sales enablement through training that effectively communicates McKesson’s value propositions in the healthcare and pharmaceutical space.
  • Ensure effective delivery of both in-person and virtual training sessions; monitor and evaluate training effectiveness using performance metrics.
  • Present complex information in a clear, engaging manner to diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Manage and optimize training systems and platforms (e.g., Cornerstone OnDemand, Absorb).
  • Keep training content current and aligned with industry standards, innovations, and compliance requirements.
  • Stay abreast of trends in healthcare training, adult learning, and e-learning technologies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in developing and managing training programs, preferably within the healthcare or pharmaceutical sectors.
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Adult Education, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in corporate training, learning and development, or HR training leadership roles.

Key Competencies

  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations, pharmaceutical services, or specialty health programs.
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing and inspiring training teams.
  • Excellent communication and case management skills.
  • Proficiency in learning management systems and training tools (e.g., Cornerstone OnDemand, Articulate, Absorb).
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and decisive.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$98,700 - $164,400
