1. About the Role
As the Lead Pharmacy Technician – Inventory, you’ll play a vital role in managing inventory operations at our Central Fill Pharmacy. You’ll support Pharmacists and the Inventory Manager by coordinating daily inventory activities, maintaining optimal stock levels, and mentoring a team of inventory technicians. This role is essential to ensuring medication availability and operational efficiency, with key collaborations across pharmacy operations and client representatives. You’ll also help drive process improvements and uphold compliance standards.
Target Salary: $25-27hr. (depending on individual experience)

2. What You’ll Do
- Lead daily inventory activities including receiving, stocking, cycle counting, replenishment, and returns.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely product replenishment for sorting and filling.
- Set up new medications for dispensing and ensure accurate system configuration.
- Identify and manage short-dated, expiring, or recalled inventory.
- Operate and troubleshoot automated sorting and counting equipment; perform manual entry and picking as needed.
- Provide on-the-job training and guidance to inventory technicians; support task distribution and team efficiency.
- Collaborate with Pharmacists and Inventory Manager to develop and implement SOPs and Work Instructions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies; support audits and inspections.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed to meet Company goals.
3. What We’re Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Active Tennessee Pharmacy Technician License is required for consideration.
- Minimum 2 years of Pharmacy Technician experience.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
4. Specialized Knowledge & Skills
- Warehouse experience is a plus.
- National Certification through PTCB or ExCPT preferred.
- Proficiency with inventory systems and automation equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical equipment and escalate issues appropriately.
- Commitment to accuracy, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English is required.
