Job Description

The HR Modernization Communications Lead is responsible for overseeing all program communications, ensuring that messaging is consistent and engaging. The Communication Lead is accountable for development of a comprehensive Communications strategy, establishment of a detailed enterprise communication plan, & toolkit and communications assets that can be used by markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop clear and concise documentation by leveraging industry standards and guidelines and McDonald's best practices and existing narratives
  • Collaborates with market change team members to ensure communications are consistently applied in the markets
  • Assesses communications activities and their effectiveness to find opportunities for enhancement
  • Analyze high priority and overall communication needs for stakeholders
  • Provide materials to keep partners regularly informed about communication plans and activities
  • Lead and complete projects/initiative tasks within the business area
  • Regularly solicit input from key Market and Functional personas to ensure communications are resonating with key audiences
  • Partner with GPLT and other executives to tailor messaging to key teams and audiences
  • Provide regular reporting on the status of various communications activities.
  • Act as primary editor for all GP Modernization communications
  • Ensures alignment of HR communication strategies and plans with Corporate Communications strategies, initiatives, and standards

Qualifications

  • Must be fully vaccinated (i.e., at least 2 weeks after last dose) for COVID-19 and, if hired, present proof of vaccination by start date.
  • Extensive Communications experience
  • Solid knowledge of communication practices and techniques
  • Executive presentation skills, able to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to storyboard and express ideas clearly and concisely using a mix of data and qualitative insights. Exceptional PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audience
  • Exposure to cross functional programs and ability to work successfully in a matrixed environment
  • Ability to develop / maintain strong business relationships
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
  • Attention on details and clear, concise communications
  • Proven ability to think strategically and to translate strategic directives into communications
