Job Description

McDonald's is in the midst of a multi-year strategic transition to cloud. The Global Technology Enterprise Services team is looking for a Technical Architect with a consistent track record of delivering solutions in a fast-paced, agile environment, across various geographies around the globe.

The Technical Architect will assist with a variety of ERP implementation-related initiatives and tasks in support of McDonald's current and future use of Oracle Applications solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • A seasoned, experienced professional with a full grasp of an area(s) of specialization
  • Works independently designing and developing new solutions with comprehensive knowledge in specific area.
  • Is able to complete highly complex projects. Acts as technical authority for the solution area including systems integration with external platforms. Ensures end-to-end solution integrity, including integrations of Oracle cloud ERP systems and 3rd party boundary applications
  • Provide technical expertise and support to the Oracle Cloud (SaaS + PaaS) implementation partners in addressing sophisticated Finance business requirements
  • Responsible for design and implementation from start through project completion. Designs end to end solution, including processes, system and integration specifications, and hardware and/or software compatibility.
  • Builds application prototypes during analysis phase. Identifies, analyzes and resolves system design weaknesses. Follows and ensures alignment to enterprise technical standards.
  • Collaborates with other technology teams including internal teams, service provider and vendors. Ensures application service levels are maintained as per agreed standards. Implement operational excellence, identify areas of improvement, and exercising cost savings via optimization.
  • Collaborate across multiple domains with IT solution architects to establish architectural guidelines and standards. Promote alignment to compliance and change documentation
  • Liaises with external technical teams as necessary for developing solution or providing application support. Provides oversight to work performed by service provider teams. ITSM Management: Change, Incident, Major-incident, Problem, and Capacity Management.
  • Domain expertise in the area of Oracle Application technology stack, including but not limited to BI Publisher, OTBI, Workflows, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) etc.
  • Plays pivotal role in design, development, conversion, testing and deployment of the overall solution. Experience working collaboratively in a predominantly supplier-enabled, outsource technology delivery environment
  • Demonstrable experience implementing ERP cloud solutions across different industries (QSR industry a plus) with large-scale implementation project experience within global organizations.
  • Knowledge of Finance business processes, a clear understanding of standard methodologies, and experience with Oracle ERP Cloud.
  • Hands-on experience working with Oracle ERP Cloud Finance modules - Payables, Receivables, General ledger, Cash Management, Assets, Projects etc.
  • Used modern practices to increase the speed of delivering software (e.g., Agile, DevOps, test automation, etc.)
  • Understanding of Cloud architecture, application security and localization requirements.

Reviews, analyses and evaluates business systems and user needs

  • Build and review user documentation for project features.
  • Communicate with external teams to connect opportunities in development plans when they arise, encouraging open and collaborative environments for development.
  • Expertise in DevOps, Event Architectures, Security and Systems Performance desirable
  • Worked with large, global teams to deliver results. Teams would have consisted of employees and third-party contractors

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, information Systems or Business
  • Experience working collaboratively in a predominantly supplier-enabled, outsource technology delivery environment
  • 2 years minimum direct experience architecting solutions (Oracle Cloud)
  • 5 years experience in a senior-level application or infrastructure architecture role
  • Demonstrable experience implementing ERP cloud solutions across different industries (QSR industry a plus) with large-scale implementation project experience within global organizations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, strong analytical and problem solving skills
