The Team:

The Sourcing team plays a critical role in aligning new product introductions with the most suitable manufacturing locations across all Mattel brands, ensuring optimal cost, quality, and delivery performance. The team is responsible for managing an executable workload across a global network of manufacturing partners, maintaining balance and efficiency across diverse geographic regions. Additionally, the department performs volume forecasting and factory cost analysis across Mattel’s manufacturing sources, providing actionable insights and strategic reporting to senior management and cross-functional leadership.

The Opportunity: 

We have an opening for a Sr. Supply Planning Analyst within the Supply Planning department, based in the El Segundo office. Reporting to the Supply Planning Manager, this highly cross-functional role collaborates closely with teams such as Development Program Management, Marketing, Global Supply Chain Finance, Supply Chain Strategy, Manufacturing Operations, and others. The position involves preparing detailed analyses for various Mattel brands and manufacturing sites, while fostering strong working relationships across departments. Key responsibilities include creating and managing New Product Sourcing and plant loading reports, identifying and communicating impacts of changes in Long-Range Growth Scenarios, and contributing to periodic factory cost forecasting. This role requires strong analytical and presentation skills, with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, and offers high visibility across the organization.

What Your Impact Will Be: 

  • Contribute to shaping the supply chain strategy for Mattel brands across diverse global manufacturing locations.
  • Support the achievement of annual production volume targets at key manufacturing sites.
  • Assist in preparing capacity analyses for the Global Supply Planning team, enabling informed decisions for brand and site-level planning.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field
  • 4+ Years’ experience in Program Management, Finance, Supply Chain Planning, Supply Planning, Manufacturing, Product Development, or related functions
  • Experience leading cross functional projects across multiple geographies ideally in consumer goods industry
  • Clear communication skills; Demonstrated ability to establish strong working relationships
  • High level of interpersonal, written, and verbal skills
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Detail oriented and able to balance multiple projects at a time

Preferred: 

  • Master’s in Supply Chain Management/MBA/Mathematics
  • Willing to roll up sleeves in ambiguous situations and solve business challenges
  • Experience in presenting to senior management
  • Advanced data analytics skills
  • Demonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.

The annual base salary range for this position is between $84,000 and $105,000.
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience. Mattel offers competitive total pay programs, comprehensive benefits, and resources to help empower a culture where every employee can reach their full potential.
