Job Description

The Opportunity: 

 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager of Direct to Consumer Supply Chain to join our team in El Segundo, CA.  The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of experience in Supply Chain management, specifically within direct-to-consumer channels, and will have a proven track record of managing fast-paced, high-impact projects.  You should be highly analytical, with the ability to derive complex scenarios, pricing models, and service strategies, while delivering actionable insights through compelling presentations to various stakeholders, including executive leadership.  Continuous interaction and joint work to align and improve DTC business process within Supply Chain and with other business functions including Commercial, Finance, IT among others, is a core part of the scope of this position.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a consulting background or experience working in fast-paced environments, with deep knowledge of supply chains, process improvements, and distribution center operations. You will play a critical role in optimizing our supply chain operations to drive business performance and customer satisfaction.

What Your Impact Will Be: 

 

  • Supply Chain Strategy: Lead the development and execution of direct-to-consumer supply chain strategies that align with company goals, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
  • Project Management: Manage and deliver multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and achieving results within budget while managing resources and stakeholders effectively.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize advanced Excel skills to develop and analyze scenario, pricing, and service models. Derive insights from data to improve operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Business Process Mapping and Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization across the supply chain, from inventory management to last-mile delivery. Work closely with other areas within the Supply Chain (Logistics, Planning, Procurement, Compliance) and with other areas in the business process such as Commercial, Finance, IT, Legal and also with external vendors to implement improvements.
  • Presentation and Reporting: Create compelling presentations that clearly communicate complex data and strategies to various audiences, including senior executives and key stakeholders.
  • Consulting Expertise: Leverage experience from prior consulting work to analyze supply chain challenges, identify solutions, and implement best practices across the organization.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with departments such as Operations, Marketing, Sales, and IT to develop improvements and reach alignment on goals, manage expectations, and drive improvements that impact the customer experience.
  • Vendor & Distribution Center Management: Manage relationships with internal and third-party vendors and oversee operations of distribution centers, ensuring timely deliveries, operational efficiency and maintaining high service levels.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, with direct experience in direct-to-consumer models.
  • Strong background in project management, with the ability to juggle multiple initiatives and deadlines.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel for building and analyzing pricing models, scenario simulations, and service optimization.
  • Proven ability to create impactful presentations for diverse audiences, including executives and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with process improvement and distribution center management, ideally with prior experience in a consulting role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Familiarity with supply chain software and tools; advanced knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field. An MBA is a plus

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior consulting experience in supply chain management or process improvement.
  • Familiarity with eCommerce platforms and direct-to-consumer logistics operations.
  • Knowledge of the latest trends in supply chain technologies and innovations.

The annual base salary range for this position is between $134,400 and $168,000.
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience. Mattel offers competitive total pay programs, comprehensive benefits, and resources to help empower a culture where every employee can reach their full potential.
