Job Description
What Your Impact Will Be:
- Ensures that Mattel content is mastered per specification and delivered to specified distribution channels according to agreement terms.
- Maintains and enhances technical systems and workflows.
- Field/track/fulfill all content asset requests.
- Provides technical direction each step of the post-production and delivery process.
- Formats and encodes program content for broadcast or distribution over linear networks (both standard and high definition) and non-linear networks such as On Demand, Internet and wireless.
- Works with internal and external partners to architect DAM system capabilities and asset structure, establish and execute plans that provide security compliance, accessibility and functionality for Mattel Television.
- Manages Mattel’s content library within the DAM, onsite storage and additional redundancies.
- Plans, administers and improves digital asset management systems.
- Receives, indexes, stores, protects and distributes digital media files.
- Manage and catalogue media archive and assets.
- Optimize and manage The Mattel Television post-production servers.
- Facilitates the digital deliveries of all content to a variety of distribution partners and Mattel markets for Mattel Television.
- Problem solves when technical issues arise, or delivery mishaps occur.
- Updates the Production teams of delivery progress.
- Facilitates the resolution of all technical issues for delivery and project completion.
- Works with the dubbing team to deliver complete, QC approved assets and project files for international mastering.
- Provides technical or digital image technician expertise in production and on set.
- Manage deliverables and production assets.
- Facilitates QC process including internal fixes, communication with external partners when necessary, and final outputs.
- Conducts QC of all internally produced content and completes applicable QC reports with suggestions for fixes.
- Coordinates delivery between production teams, post production supervisor, post production vendor, and distribution partners.
- Work closely with Post-Production management, distribution partners, and markets to expediently and accurately deliver projects on time.
- General post-production support for all projects.
- Liaise with the post-production team and post-production vendors when necessary.
- Solicits bids from various post vendors when necessary.
- Provide creative editorial for internal content including experimental and one-off content.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
- 8+ years of post-supervision or media management.
- Fluency with Adobe Creative Suite,, AirTable, digital asset management.
- Precise attention to detail, superior organizational skills.
- Fluency in technology and film, video and media formats.
- Aptitude for emerging formats and online media.
- Archival/media management required.
*The pay range is indicative of projected hiring range, however base pay will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
