Purpose of the role

The E-Commerce Manager for Mattel Creations mission is to develop operational efficiencies throughout the end-to-end customer experience while also providing actionable insights to deliver topline growth in current markets and for launching in new markets.

Description

The E-Commerce Manager will be directly responsible for inventory planning for EMEA using historical data to maximise opportunities for sales growth. They will also be responsible for looking to optimise this process to reduce manual efforts as we scale across new markets in EMEA, and globally.

They will be responsible for the delivery of customer experience reporting and actionable insights in order to deliver a best-in-class experience from the start of a consumer journey all the way to the last mile & potential customer service touch points.

Overall reporting for business health and actionable insights for change will sit within this role therefore a highly analytical mind is required with strong attention to detail is critical with excellent time-management skills needed.

In this role the Ecommerce Manager will need to work collaboratively across functions including but not limited to regional teams based both in the UK & Italy as well as media agencies based both in the UK and in California, and the Global Mattel eCommerce organisation based in Los Angeles, California. They also need to have a curious mindset to deliver results and be innovative in their thinking.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering demand plan to hit goals both short and longer term.
  • Create scalable inventory planning processes and reporting.
  • Delivering weekly & monthly reporting to cross functional stakeholders for business health.
  • Creating actionable insights from multiple data sources including but not limited to Shopify, GA4 & Klaviyo to drive efficiencies & sales.
  • Build a playbook for reporting & International Expansion.
  • Supporting the merchandising function and create opportunities for driving revenue growth.
  • Accelerate the Mattel Collectors and Adults business in EMEA.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • English: fluent in written & spoken (previous experience abroad represents a plus)
  • 5+ years experience in e-commerce either merchandising, content management, or online retail.
  • Strong attention to detail critical
  • Highly organised self-starter with impeccable project management skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, proven ability to handle multiple internal/external stakeholders & communicate effectively in a virtual environment, across multiple cultures and time zones
  • Energetic, inquisitive and extremely driven with an entrepreneurial mindset, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer focus & passion for improving user experience on the website
  • Experience with Shopify, Klayvio, GA4
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Experience working in a matrix organisation – highly advisable
  • Experience working across multiple (European) markets
  • Experience launching into new markets
  • Knowledge of other European languages (German, French, Italian, Spanish)
  • Previous experience in media / marketing / collector businesses
