The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly capable Associate Manager to support the execution of key strategic initiatives across the region, aligned with global objectives. This role will act as a regional expert, providing critical local insights to ensure the effective implementation and adoption of global systems and processes. By understanding the unique needs of the region, the Associate Manager will help bridge global strategy with local execution, driving alignment and operational success.

The Associate Manager, People Systems is responsible for the management and optimization of Mattel’s People (HR) Systems (Workday + local applications) to meet organizational needs and strategic objectives. This role will support various Workday HCM business systems and provide escalated tier support of issues and various project initiatives. This is a hands-on role with the opportunity to provide support on all aspects of People Systems including core HCM, time tracking, absence, advanced compensation, talent and reporting modules as well as supporting various local People Technology/Payroll applications.
This role is based in one of Mattel’s global offices and reports directly into the Director People Technology.
What Your Impact Will Be:
- Execute strategic priorities within region
- Collaborate with People & Culture and Technology teams to improve system processes and user experience.
- Provide functional support to Workday SMEs
- Collaborate with business owners and technical teams to understand requirements, configure, prototype and test Workday solutions for varying business requirement
- Write and maintain business requirements, functional specifications, test plans, and training documentation
- Collaborate with HR and IT teams to improve system processes and user experience.
- Maintain compliance with data privacy regulations and internal security policies.
- Evaluate and recommend new HR technologies as needed.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of HRIS experience (preferably with global)
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, HR management, business administration, or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle, ADP).
- Strong understanding of HR processes and best practices.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
- Clear and effective communicator, able to communicate with colleagues with credibility across the globe
- Ability to plan own workload, meet deadlines, proven project management experience
- Maintain confidentiality with sensitive data
